EXPERIENCE STUNNING VIEWS FROM THE WURUNDERI SPUR LOOKOUT. Only 2.5 kms away...
The Wurundjeri Spur is a large area of native bushland, extending from the Yarra Boulevard to the Yarra River. The Wurundjeri Spur Lookout, also known as Trig Point is at the Boulevard, one of the highest points in the Park, offering wonderful views to Melbourne city and to the nearer ranges. A true bushwalk this close to the centre of Melbourne seems unbelievable, but the Wurundjeri Spur Lookout, accessible via the Main Yarra Trail, is just that. There’s a few hills along the path, but it’s generally easy walking. When you reach the lookout, you’ll be treated to one of the most magnificent views of the Melbourne skyline. It’s the perfect place to stop, take some photos and just admire our beautiful city.
The Wurunderi are an Aboriginal Australian nation of the Woiwurrung language group, in the Kulin alliance. They occupied the Birrarung (Yarra River) Valley before British colonisation of the area, around the present location of Melbourne.
