Who doesn't love unique places, spaces and things? It's not very often that you find all of this in the one place, but The Spring St Grocer has it all. Sometimes I go there just because I can, I like to see what they have and inevitably end up with a fresh cold pressed juice, sweet treat or scrumptious Gelato. I tend to have the green juice, but shake it up with the rest. Last favourite sweet treat was the plum slice (how good was that Bec?) and coconut and strawberry gelato - crazy good - I can still taste it now. As for the place itself, it's retro yet contemporary, colourful yet stable, and infinitely interesting. The grocery space is filled with quality food locally sourced and produced, as well as must have goodies from around the world. They stock their own brand of "nutrient rich, delicious" take home meals V.Primavera all developed and prepared in the kitchens of The European. What's not to love about that? Then there is the space that quite simply must be seen, and that's the underground cheese cellars, complete cheesemonger - Anthony. You'll find a wide selection of farmhouse and artisan cheeses from both Australia and abroad, changing regularly to reflect seasonal availability. You can even book the basement space for private cheese themed events. If you happen to be a cheese lover, you could only describe this as pure heaven right?
