We stubbled across Clutch quite by accident. It's a little restaurant just moments from the flower market. We saw the cute 50's style courtyard, watched a couple of bloody Mary's pass by on a tray, glanced at the menu, and had to stay. We walked inside and were asked to wait at the bar. Bar? But we don't want a drink? Elderflower prosecco or vodka cocktail with elderflower, mint and lime? Hmmmmm…oh yes we do!
The food is delicious. I had Sunday roast; chicken, sweet potato mash, parmesan potatoes, sautéed green beans and asparagus. Yum yum yum! The interior is stylish and fun. White walls, black and white striped floorboards, green wooden tables with copper surfaces and sewing machine legs, and amber glass crockery and glasses. The kitchen is open to the dining room, and the staff are charismatic, efficient and entertaining. All this combined with great music I could have stayed on all afternoon, and will definitely be heading back to the back bar for the DJ on Wednesday night!
