Milagros are small, metallic votive offerings that Mexicans pin to images of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the saints. A fisherman may pin a silver fish to the cloak of a particular Saint and pray for a good catch. Milagros translates from the Spanish as Miracles. Who wouldn't like a miracle or two!
Milagros works with independent makers and small workshops to create quality hand made products, combining traditional techniques and contemporary design. All products are sourced in Mexico. Recent projects include glassware for Wahaca, tiles for Jamie's Italian, and Las Iguanas. Baskets for Mama Shelter in Marseille, Istanbal and Wahaca. The shop is a colourful haven of unique pieces, full of intrigue and expression.
