I've done a little research and discovered that it was designed by Danny Venlet.
His inventive use of a central table has successfully created a more sociable environment for clients and hair dressers. There is no more glancing solely ahead into the mirror. Here there is broader scope to chat, and interact, in a very sleek fresh space. Apparently it's not only the space getting attention. Elle magazine published a story in 2012 motivated to see what "all the fuss was about" and came to the conclusion that "The haute couture hairstyles in the most beautiful place in the world: beauty in Brussels - that's what the fuss is about!"
It is quite possibly the most beautiful hair dressing salon in the world. Definitely the best I've seen anyway!
